Domme is an ancient town in Périgord. The writer François Augieras (1925–1971) spent the last years of his life here. Poor and sick, he spent the night in a local shelter and meditated in caves during the day.

Ogieras, who worshiped the universe, considered himself a representative of an ancient cosmic civilization that rejected Christianity and other errors of mankind. “Domme” is a book about an alien’s confrontation with vulgar earthly creatures who decide to play the roles of the mayor, grocer, priest, gendarme and other inhabitants of the town.

My tastes and inclinations are from another World, and I do not intend to change them, to please People who live in illusory time and know nothing about Eternity. In Domme, I have absolutely no regard for a civilization that is alien to me, a civilization that is doomed, dead, and deprived of connection with the Divine Universe.
