An energetic and charming person from the other world promises them a wonderful new life, and hope flares up in people, comparable to the expectation of the Messiah. This brilliant book-parable in the spirit of Kafka and Beckett is filmed by the famous master of auteur cinema Bela Tarr. The film was awarded the Berlin Film Festival and the honorary Belgian Golden Age Award. “Satanic Tango” is the first novel by Laszlo Krasznahorkai published in Russian.
