In the first days of August 1984, our regiment, once again, went on a combat operation to some distant outback of the Panjshir Gorge. I don’t know where exactly the regiment fought, because given my position and rank, they didn’t report to me. But because of this operation, all the helicopters, as they say, “went beyond the distant cordon.” And they left fourteen military personnel on Dragon's Tooth Mountain without air support from the air. This meant that we had nothing to eat and our life became very sad.
