Evgeniy Kiskevich (1891–1945) remained virtually unknown in emigration; only once did his poem appear on the pages of a Parisian (“metropolitan”) magazine. His creative legacy includes two thin collections and several poems in the anthologies “Zodchy” and “Literary Environment”. Kiskevich, unlike many others, did not leave Belgrade during the Second World War and was shot without trial when Soviet troops entered the capital of Yugoslavia. This edition includes the entire surviving poetic heritage of Evgeniy Kiskevich.
