To the Glory of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, the One God PIDALION of the spiritual ship of the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Orthodox Church, or all the sacred and Divine Rules of the holy all-validated apostles, holy Ecumenical and Local Councils and individual divine fathers, interpreted by Hieromonk Agapius and the monk Nicodemus. “Pidalion”, translated from Greek as “helm”, is a collection of rules of the Orthodox Church with interpretations of St. Nicodemus the Holy Mountain, one of the greatest theologians and teachers of the Church. Working at the end of the 18th century on the compilation of a new canonical collection, St. Nicodemus did a lot of research and selected important and reliable material with the goal of returning Byzantine canon law to its former meaning.
