Thirty years ago, fate separated two close friends - sixth-graders Nina and Tatka Kostenko. Nina Ivanovna knows nothing about the fate of her beloved classmate. She treasures the book “Robinson Crusoe,” given to her by Tanya, like a shrine. The children's book is completely tattered. Nina is trying to get it in order in the bookbinding workshop at the newspaper editorial office, where she has worked for many years. Journalist Listovskaya is surprised by her colleague’s thriftiness. She listens with interest to the story of Nina and Tatka’s friendship and separation. And Nina Ivanovna is convinced that there is a place for miracles in life.
