The novel “The Resurrected Tribe” is dedicated to Chukotka, thoughts about its past and present. In the twenty years after the October Revolution, the peoples of northern Siberia and Chukotka managed to survive what others needed almost millennia to achieve. The novel shows the revival of the indigenous inhabitants of Chukotka - the downtrodden, ruined, half-exterminated Yukaghir tribe, doomed to extinction under the conditions of Tsarist Russia. Written by one of the founders of the study of the history, ethnography, culture and life of the peoples of the North, the book is replete with naturalistic details and truthfully shows the way of life and psychology of the small northern people.
