The textbook is intended to orient readers to the content of the Four Gospels, to help understand the dogmatic and spiritual-moral meaning of the Gospel events and teachings in the light of church tradition. It was written on the basis of a course of lectures given to students of the Faculty of Further Education of the Orthodox St. Tikhon's Humanitarian University, and is addressed primarily to them. But the book will also be useful to those who are embarking on a systematic study of the Four Gospels for the first time.
