Photography, as a product of technology, was destined to become not only a permanent assistant to science, but also a successor to the arts. She made a direct transition from the idealism of abstraction to the naturalism of life, becoming their embodied identity. Wonderfully convenient - unobtrusively, simple and reliable. And it irrevocably involved all objectivity in a “dense network of equivalence relations” (S. Freud’s definition of the psyche). As photography developed, wonderful encounters with the world became an everyday routine. And in the end, a direct conscious effort was required, returning to the initial experiences. This is how the theories of the “photographic event”, “decisive moment”, studium and punctum appeared, striving to return photographers from the ordinary fornication of automatic shooting to the uniqueness of those first stunning meetings, from photographic slang to the “explanatory dictionary of nature” (E. Delacroix) .
