The novel “Triocala” is the second part of a historical duology, which is based on the events that took place in Italy and on the island. Sicily at the end of the 2nd century. BC e. The first part, “Chronicle of the Time of Gaius Maria, or the Fugitive from Rome,” is dedicated to the slave revolt in 104 BC. e., which was brutally suppressed. The main characters of the novel “Triocala”, Memnon and Juventina, managed to escape, but they found themselves in the thick of events on the island. Sicily, where uprisings began that resulted in a four-year slave war against Rome.
