The collection includes statements and teachings of two saints, two Moscow priests, father and son: the righteous Alexy Mechev (1829-1923) and the holy martyr Sergius Mechev (1892-1942). O. Alexy, a famous Moscow priest of the early 20th century, preacher, shepherd, was revered as an elder during his lifetime. He died in 1923. Care for the community of Fr. Alexy passed to his son, Archpriest Sergius, who continued his father’s work; Many prominent church figures of the 20th century came from the Marosei community. O. Sergius was repeatedly subjected to repression and was shot in 1942. Father and son Mechev were glorified by the Russian Orthodox Church as saints in 2000. Thoughts are right.
