The collection “USSR: Territory of Love” is compiled based on the materials of the international conference “Love, protest and propaganda in Soviet culture” (November 2004), organized by the Department of Slavic Studies of the University of Konstanz (Germany). The authors of the articles focus on texts and images, declarations and taboos, stereotypes and innovations, which allow us to judge the discursive and medial features of Soviet culture in the idea of love and intimacy.
