Folklorists of the 1920s and 1930s write about the withering away and degeneration of traditional folklore genres. An epic, a fairy tale, a spiritual verse, a ritual song do not fit well in their traditional form with the proclaimed radicalism of social and cultural changes in the life of the country. Among the genres doomed to disappear under the onslaught of urban culture and collectivization, the lullaby is also called.
