The objective of the proposed research is to consider changes in the cinematic representation of the private during the transition from the “big style” to the cinema of the “Thaw”. By cinematic representation of the private, I will understand a set of plots related to private and/or intimate life (courtship, communication between lovers, family life, extramarital affairs, the situation of divorce, the birth and raising of children, etc.), the representation of everyday practices in cinema (housework , leisure activities, hygiene procedures, etc.), as well as methods of showing private things that are characteristic specifically of cinema as a special type of medium (close-up, fragmentation, subjective “handheld” camera, specific light, noise, etc.).
