In the collection of crime essays “Silent Murder. Infection as a Weapon of Crime,” the author offers his own interpretation of such well-known events of the past as the anthrax outbreak in Sverdlovsk (1979) and bioterrorist attacks in the USA (autumn 2001). The author examines the official versions of what happened and shows their inconsistency. The collection also includes an essay dedicated to a series of mysterious murders of famous microbiologists that occurred in different countries around the world at the very end of 2001.
