Jane Charlotte is arrested for murder. She says that she works for a secret organization, the Department for the Elimination of Hopeless Persons, or, as it is also called, the “Evil Monkeys”, and saves the world by killing real villains. After such a confession, she is sent to a closed psychiatric clinic, where the local psychiatrist will have to determine whether Jane is insane. Or maybe she's lying or playing some kind of game of her own? The doctor does not yet know that he will have to face the most incredible criminal in his practice, that reality is much more terrible and bizarre than he thinks, that an ordinary interrogation will soon turn into a terrible puzzle, and no one can predict its ending.
