Often “now” and “then”, “there” and “here” are so closely intertwined that their boundaries are difficult to distinguish. In the book “Akhmatova in My Mirror,” these boundaries are completely erased. The great and mysterious muse of Russian poetry, Anna Akhmatova, appears in the narrator’s mirror as her own reflection. In fact, the image of the poetess in the heroine’s mirror is nothing more than the decoration she needs to to talk it out. At the same time, the mirror is a random platform for the Russian poetess. The two women get closer. They are talking. Day after day, the tragic pictures of the poetess’ life come to life, and the door to this life opens for the heroine of the book.
