Jason Walker is a child star turned teen heartthrob and then a reluctant B-movie regular, fed up with his failing career. So he leaves Hollywood for North Idaho, away from the press, Los Angeles drama and the best friend he's been secretly in love with for years. There's only one problem with his new life: a strange young man wandering around his guest house, whom only he can see. Except Benjamin Ward is not a ghost. He is a man living outside of time, imprisoned after the Civil War in a magical prison, from where he can only observe the lives of those around him. He's also sweet and funny and damn attractive, with an unhealthy addiction to cheap '80s TV shows. And he's very glad that he finally has someone to talk to. But Jason quickly discovers that spending all his time with a person no one else sees or hears has its own problems... Especially when he is again found by the tabloids, gracing their front page. The local sheriff thinks he's a drug addict, and his best friend thinks he's crazy. But Jason knows he hasn't lost his mind. It's a pity that he can't say the same about his heart.
