The plays of the Presnyakov brothers are sold out in many theaters around the world : England, Scandinavia, Germany, Portugal, Spain, America, Hungary, Australia, etc. After each premiere, the audience of authors expands thanks to the prompt publication of sensational plays abroad. Cult and sought-after playwrights are spoiled not only by foreign, but also by domestic audiences. The first Russian edition of the Presnyakov brothers is in fact not selected plays, but chapters of a whole saga dedicated to how our society collapsed (not overnight, of course). Even “Captive Spirits” - a kind of remake of the biography of Alexander Blok - to some extent suggests the origins of the emerging oddities in human relationships.
