The events of the cycle are moving further and further from the historical line we know. The narrative, as before, is based on several parallel developing branches. Some of them are inherited from previous books, including from the not yet published “Clash of Interests,” which should describe the events of 1941 in the author’s universe. There are several obvious references to it in Warriors of Winter. Some, naturally, appear and are completed in this volume. Political and espionage vicissitudes remain behind the scenes, except for plot-necessary moments. The main action takes place in a small area of the Kola Peninsula and in the North Atlantic. And while American aircraft carriers are sinking the High Seas Fleet, warriors of winter are fighting in the snowy forests of Kola. With this book, I will indefinitely stop working on translating Stuart Slade’s work. If anyone has a desire, let him continue my work or improve the quality of the text of already translated parts.
