In the new book by Vladimir Kantor, writer and philosopher, Doctor of Philosophy, full professor at the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE), member of the Union of Russian Writers, member of the editorial board of the journal Questions of Philosophy, the reader will find memoir sketches from the lives of Russian intellectuals of the Soviet and post-Soviet periods. Comic scenes are accompanied by ironic, but quite serious reflections of the author about political and everyday situations. In the author’s opinion, the idiocy and comedy of human life can only be noticed by a person who is inside the situation and at the same time outside it, i.e., the position of being found and not being found. The book is aimed at a fairly wide range of people who have not forgotten how to read. A significant part of the texts published here were published in the online magazine "Gefter".
