The eighth book of the "Kirov Spring" series describes the construction of the USSR Navy for the period from 1931 to 1941 in an alternative reality and its difference from our history. Brief performance characteristics of the ships are given here, a description of the progress of their construction and commissioning, distribution ships and submarines, as well as naval aviation aircraft by type and fleet. The real and alternative senior command staff of the Navy of the Red Army of the USSR is described. The reader may be interested in the “Conclusion” section, in which the Author takes the liberty of analyzing the results of the well-known discussion of 1928 by M.N. Tukhachevsky with M.A. Petrov about the goals and optimal composition of the Soviet fleet. The “forces of the parties” are described, which compares the number of the main warships of the USSR in an alternative and our reality and the number of ships of its enemies in theaters of military operations. The work ends with conclusions about the impact of changes on the combat capability of the Soviet naval fleet by 1941.
