"This book is not so much about cinema, not about films and directors, but about changes, about those perceptions, thinking, experience of existence in the modern world, in a world where there is already cinema, in a world in which images already function in mainly as “cinematic”… The book is called “Metakino”, which can be read as “after cinema”. I borrowed this word from the first volume of “Cinema” by Gilles Deleuze (“Image-movement”), where he uses it as a metaphor to describe images. in Bergson’s philosophy, also calling the latter a kind of “cinema-in-itself.” It seems to me that this word successfully describes the world of modern existence in question, the world of changed fears and pleasures, desires and expectations, a world that is used to describe. are still trying to adapt the old poetic languages of "imagination", while the images are already different and continue to change before our eyes."
