Volume 4 of the collected works of St. Justin of Cheliy (Popovich) (1894–1979) contains the final 5th and 6th parts of his “Dogmatics of the Orthodox Church”: “Pneumatology” and “Eschatology”, including the interpretation and presentation by St. Justin ( Popovich) of Orthodox teaching about the action of the Holy Spirit in the Church, as well as about the future destinies of the Church, humanity and the world. Following in this volume of Dogmatics his original and creative method of presenting church teaching, the Monk Justin examines in detail the foundations and modes of action of the Holy Spirit in the Church - in the life of the Mother of God, the saints and every Christian. In addition, in this book, the Monk Justin paid great attention to the grace-filled means of transmitting the Holy Spirit to members of the Church - the Church Sacraments and rituals, and also revealed the grace-filled content of the Orthodox veneration of the Mother of God, saints, holy relics, icons and the Cross. The sixth part of “Dogmatics” is entirely devoted to such issues of eschatological content as the posthumous fate and afterlife of the human soul, the last times, the coming of the Antichrist, the Second Coming of Christ, the Last Judgment, retribution, etc. The Monk Justin abundantly accompanies his presentation of the teaching of the Church on these topics with quotations from patristic works and church hymnography. The book is especially relevant due to the increased interest today in the subject of Church Sacraments and issues of Christian eschatology.
