The memory of the Great Patriotic War preserves not only battles, hardships and grief. The memory of the war is also preserved by the years of childhood that coincided with these trials. And not only where the war took place, but also at a distance from it, on the soil of our large country. Where no hardships of war could break the children’s perception of life, which is the subject of a small story in seven short stories - “the war of children.” In times of war as well as in times of peace, responsibility for life is the cornerstone of humanity. And the judgment of one’s own conscience is sometimes no less grave than the judgment of others. The second story is about this - “Kindergarten”. The war did not end with a victory over Germany - the last point in the Great Victory was set in Japan. The memory of these two great victories, the torment of the mind in front of innocent victims, lead the hero of the story “Kindergarten” to a sincere awareness of personal responsibility for someone else’s life, powerlessness in the face of the torment of his own conscience.
