It traces the entire life path of the outstanding cultural figure, writer V.F. Bulgakov, including a description of his childhood in Siberia, studies at Moscow University, life in Yasnaya Polyana in the last year of Tolstoy’s life, work as a curator of the Tolstoy Museum, communication with the family of the great writer and by his followers, expulsion from Soviet Russia on the “philosophical ship” in 1922, life in exile, his creation of the Russian Museum in Prague, stay in Hitler’s concentration camps, return to the USSR in 1948 and work at the Leo Tolstoy Museum in Yasnaya Polyana. This edition publishes 5 selected parts related to Tolstoy and covering the events of 1910 and subsequent years before V.F. Bulgakov’s deportation abroad. Compiled by L.V. Gladkova, J.A.
