In Orthodox circles, the question has often been raised lately: can unbaptized infants and the unbaptized in general be saved? Before the 20th century - the century of ecumenism - such a question was even unthinkable. The Gospel words: “whoever is not born of water and the Spirit cannot enter the Kingdom of God” were unambiguously interpreted by all holy writers as an indication of the Sacrament of Holy Baptism. Famous modern spiritual writer - Archimandrite Lazar (Abashidze) based on the works of the Holy Fathers and Church Tradition, he gives an Orthodox answer to the pressing question of our time.
