The revitalization of the Islamic mission at the end of the 20th - beginning of the 21st centuries coincided with the era of global spiritual revival and humanitarian scientific upsurge. However, in our country, the experience of Islamic studies and comparative theology (theology) was forgotten with the dominance of the ideology of the Soviet regime. This manual is an attempt to renew the tradition of the pre-revolutionary school of religious studies, based, first of all, on the research and analysis of Arabic primary sources, many quotes from which, given in this publication, are published for the first time in the Russian-speaking world. Also, the author identifies and analyzes in detail Islamic controversial theses that reflect the essence of the main problems of Islamic comparative theology. The book will be useful to religious scholars, theologians, as well as everyone interested in the problems of Christian apologetics. The book of Fares Nofal compares favorably with both Christian polemical works and the works of the apologists of Islam themselves with a fresh and more than scientific view of a number of most issues discussed in the Christian-Islamic dialogue. This work cannot but deserve close and thoughtful attention from both Christians and Muslims participating in such a dialogue not from the position of ecumenical research, but from the position of research and detecting serious discrepancies, better understanding each other's theology.
