In most detective stories, the author initially knows exactly how they will end, and writes them in such a way as to lead to the planned ending. But the solution to criminological mysteries in real life takes a different path - starting at the beginning and not knowing the end, relying only on evidence, the true meaning of which is initially unknown. When writing this novel, the author followed the same method. It didn't have a plot. Having written the first chapter, he did not know why the crime happened, or who committed it or how. Then, based on clues that seemed promising, the author worked out their connection to the crime as he wrote the novel. The narrative seemed to naturally approach the denouement, which the author knew nothing about at the very beginning. The theoretical reader, if desired, can close the book after reading the first chapter and independently try to come up with a development of events. I wonder if his version will match how the plot of the book develops?
