The cat Whistler lived in a cozy town. He was vain and loved everyone's attention for his talent for whistling. One day he participates in a talent competition, but, overcome with excitement, he cannot whistle. Saddened, he wanders the streets and meets a crying girl who has lost her favorite doll. The whistler, who cannot sing, sings for her a lullaby about a lost little hare. The girl, touched by his song, forgets about sadness. The whistler realizes that the main thing is not vanity, but a good heart. He no longer participates in competitions, but gives people joy with his singing, filling their lives with warmth and hope.
