Young people used to dream of going into space, but now healthy lifestyle and historical reconstruction are in fashion. So Yaroslav Feofilov decided to keep up with the trend and, having prepared well, went to the Smolensk region for the historical festival “Rurik’s Calling”. Imagine the guy’s surprise when he, with all his new-made weapons and equipment, found himself in the real 9th century, in the “urban-type village” of Gnezdovo. Unsanitary conditions and general indifference reign here, the ancestors don’t give a damn about any advice from the visiting smart guy Yaroslav, and strive kill him and rob him, or at least just rob him. And even the threat of the capture of Gnezdovo by a band of Vikings led by King Hroerik is not able to unite the population. Feofilov will have to save his ancestors from invasion and enslavement at his own expense.
