Starship Kirill Gromov is arrested on his own merchant ship, accused of espionage against the planet Tayla, ruled by a paranoid dictator. Trying to get out of captivity and understand who set him up, Kirill really learns terrible military and political secrets. In the cycle of murders and betrayals, the starship changes and, without realizing it, only brings the upcoming war of four inhabited systems closer.
