During Operation Bagration in the summer of 1944, our troops completely defeated one of the largest German groups - Army Group Center. For the Eighth Guards Company of Senior Lieutenant Vorontsov, the attack began in the early morning of June 22. The platoons went forward next to the chains of penal prisoners, who had been brought in for reinforcement the day before.
