The book by the famous literary critic Dmitry Bak includes one hundred essays about modern Russian poets belonging to different aesthetic and stylistic movements. Among the poets about whom the essays are written are both those who have long won the recognition of readers, those who have gained fame relatively recently, as well as poets of the new generation. The author of the book calls the first fifteen years of the new century the Bronze Age of Russian poetry. The book is not a pantheon of the “best” poets of our time, but a compilation of data for constructing a “map” of the development of modern poetry. Therefore, the collection includes works about typical representatives of the main trends in Russian poetry.
