“Live” is a Russian drama on the theme of death and life. The film, directed by Vasily Sigarev, represented Russia in 2012 at the Rotterdam Film Festival. The plot of the film is divided into three stories, where each hero faces a tragic fate - the death of those closest to him. In one of the storylines, the child’s father dies, in another, due to a cruel coincidence, the heroine’s loved one dies, and in the third, a completely terrible situation - a woman loses two twin daughters at once. The director’s goal and the meaning of the film is to show the viewer the power of loss and strength the will of the hero. If it seems to you that the meaning of life is lost after the death of a loved one, then this only speaks of your weak will and lack of desire to fight, because this test is, indeed, very difficult and cruel, but it means it had to happen. The main characters are walking on the edge of an abyss, their task is to decide on their future - to live on or simply die, thereby coming to terms with the inevitable...

A person knows how to feel, suffer, love. He knows how to accept his fate, even when it takes away the most valuable thing - his loved ones. It takes away the meaning of life and the desire to live. It takes away along with the whole world. But the characters in the film are not ready to accept their losses. They challenge fate, declare war on it and push it to the human limit. And they move on, winning in their own way...
