And it was there that a unicorn jumped out to meet us. Alone... He jumped out onto the lawn, sparkling like boiling silver - on the last ray of the Sun going to sleep, a twisted horn seemed to have separated from his forehead. He was wonderful. I haven't seen dragons, but I think that both them and unicorns - like some others, like Lanon Shi - are something that a person always accompanies with the words: “I'm speechless.” But I'm not. The boiling silver of its sides, the blue-green belt of fur raised up along the ridge, the sapphire-luminous horn stunned me and I quietly exhaled: “It’s just right to plow with this.” It was just a set of letters, don't get me wrong. I didn’t know how to just remain silent then. I can’t just burst into tears from the magnificence of the picture... How quickly can you get used to a mask if it’s not yours, but is at least partially true... “It’s just right to plow on this,” I said. “They don’t plow on unicorns,” Shingho sighed heavily, making it clear, that I again managed to do the impossible - surprise him. - Huh? - This is a saying. Such a saying. “Unicorns don’t plow.”... And it’s impossible, the unimaginably majestic unicorn went into the thicket without moving a single leaf on the closely growing trees. And all this is true. They really don’t plow on unicorns in the novel. However, unicorns are also not seen in the novel eating rainbows and defecating them later in the form of butterflies. In general, they no longer appear there. Neither the characters, nor the reader. But what instead? But instead, there is a “normal level of medieval atrocity,” as the Strugatskys called it. However, they are not in the novel either. What is there? And there is fantasy, which, of course, is a fairy tale, but still a fairy tale for adults...
