The works of Karel Polachek are no less popular and loved in the Czech Republic than the novels and stories of K. Capek or the stories about the good soldier Schweik by J. Hasek. A merry fairy-tale story about the adventures of two brothers - the rude glutton Edudant and the refined (in every sense) Franzimor -, however, also has a "second bottom", witty ridiculing the realities of life in interwar Czechoslovakia that surrounded the writer.The story is adapted ( without simplifying the text of the original) according to the method of Ilya Frank: provided with a literal translation into Russian and the necessary lexical and grammatical commentary. The uniqueness of the method lies in the fact that the memorization of words and expressions occurs due to their repetition, without memorization and the need to use a dictionary.The publication contributes to the effective learning of the language, can serve as an addition to the curriculum.For a wide range of people learning the Czech language at the initial stage and interested in the culture of the Czech Republic.
