The body of a young woman killed 25 years ago has been found among the ice of Greenland. The investigation into her death is being carried out by the homicide department of the Copenhagen police under the leadership of Konrad Simonsen. The circumstances of the death of the deceased remind Simonsen of one of the old cases, to the investigation of which he was directly involved. It later turns out that there are several more similar cases, although the main suspect in the crimes has been dead for many years. The case is growing at an alarming rate, and more and more new episodes are being revealed. For unknown reasons, the progress of the investigation is becoming the object of close attention by the administration of the country's Prime Minister. Lotte and Søren Hammer are the authors of 10 detective stories, translated into 16 languages, whose heroes are the Chief Commissioner of the Copenhagen Criminal Police, Konrad Simonsen, and his colleagues from the homicide department.
