“Pandurochka” is a story by the outstanding Russian writer Evgeniy Andreevich Salias (1840–1908). This is a story about a resident of the Tambov province, whose love runs like a red thread through the entire narrative. The works of E. A. Salias include “Andalusian Legends”, “The Senate Secretary”, “Manjazha”, “Exotics”, “The Frenchman”, “The Lady-in-Waiting of the Empress”, “Maskerade” and “The Philosopher”. All-Russian fame was brought to Evgeniy Andreevich Salias by his adventurous plots, where the only competition for the prose writer was Alexandre Dumas.
