The essence of the novel “Gunnar Emmanuel” is an escape from the monotonous current reality. First, the hero's beloved woman disappears after entering the doors of an old church. (The Church as a mysterious connection of times.) And then the hero himself, yearning for his beloved, begins his shuttle disappearances - back and forth into the past and back. In these departures and arrivals there is a plot.
