Автор майстерно переплітає різні сюжетні лінії, створюючи хитромудру структуру, де кожна нова загадка відкриває ще більше запитань. Головна героїня, Лін Морган, є надзвичайно глибоким персонажем, чия трансформація з простої вчительки в королеву трилера вражає і змушує співпереживати. Сюжет наповнений несподіваними поворотами, які не дають можливості відволіктися від читання. Тільє вміло грає на емоціях читача, змушуючи його відчувати тривогу, страх і надію одночасно. Книга не лише розважає, але й змушує задуматися про складнощі життя, втрати та пам'ять.
