Israel through the eyes of a Russian - a book written over the course of seven years, first by a tourist who wanted to see the biblical lands and was confident that two weeks would be enough for him to do this, and then over the course of six years, he traveled here as a person fascinated by the power of the ancient culture of Israel and the energy of his life today. Accordingly, what they saw was described - not only through the eyes of a tourist, but partly through the eyes of an “occasional resident” of this country. The author is grateful to fate for an albeit short, but each time exceptionally vivid and memorable experience of life in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, in the Tekoa settlement in the “territories”, as well as for the opportunity to observe up close the life of the Israeli artistic elite.
