The guide was compiled by critics who wrote about cinema in the Afisha magazine over the years - as staff columnists or simply friendly authors. The backbone of the book was formed as a result of a compromise between them, but each also had the opportunity to write about the secret, beloved personally. There is no single history of cinema - it is different for each viewer and each researcher.
