At one time, George Rogers worked for Madame Tussauds and showed remarkable talent in creating wax figures, but for unknown reasons he quit. Later, rumors began to circulate about his mental illness, and Rogers unwittingly confirmed them by opening his own “museum of horrors.” The wax figures presented in it - maniacs, murderers, perverts - were executed with the highest skill, and yet the most ingenious exhibition of the master was behind a partition with a sign “For adults only.” Stephen Jones, a connoisseur of such art, found it difficult to believe that these formless, godless creatures could have been created by human imagination.
