In the first Russian edition of Charles Peguy, one of the most original and significant figures in the history of French literature and political thought at the turn of the 19th–20th centuries. offers two works published in 1910 and which became the result of his political, spiritual and religious quests. “Our Youth” is a programmatic work in which the author, referring to the Dreyfus case, which became a turning point in the life of the French intelligentsia and the author himself, talks about the principles and ideals to which he and his comrades have always remained faithful. “The Mystery of Mercy by J.
