Krasnoyarsk resident Andrei Burovsky, whose first books were published jointly with Alexander Bushkov in the “Siberian Horror” project, created a new genre. It is difficult to come up with a name for it, since in reality it is a mixture of genres, which, however, does not give the impression of eclecticism. However, “Siberian horror” is the best genre definition. Burovsky has the texture of Fedoseev (“The Evil Spirit of Yambuya”), and the thoroughness of Obruchev, the edifyingness of Ivan Efremov and the imagination of Green, and in addition his own irony and cynicism, which make Burovsky and Bushkov akin. The main thing is that he writes about his homeland, which he reveres the Khakass steppes and mountain taiga, in which he met the best moments of his life. It is there that he finds exotic things that you will not find in some Amazon or Africa.
An amazing thing happens in the Sayan taiga: a series of brutal murders, disappearances; Bears behave inexplicably. The reality turns out to be more incredible than the most bizarre guesses...
