This book completes the series of adventures of the Orsha prince Sir Samuel Kmitich and his close friends - Michal and Boguslav Radziwill, Jan Sobieski - begun in the book "The Fire Horseman" and continued in "The Path of the Wolf" and "The Fight". The prince's odyssey has ended, who lived at the turning point of two eras in the history of the Belarusian state: its golden age and the overthrow of this century into oblivion, from which the country is emerging to this day. As the Belarusian poet Vladislav Syrokomlya correctly wrote: “Together with the lamented times of Jan Casimir, the happy life of our cities ends.” And that golden age sank into the abyss of time, like the legendary Atlantis. But new times have come to replace it, times of the end of oblivion.
