His power extended over the entire Hindustan; Rajasthan, Gujarat, Sindh, Bengal were conquered... The untold wealth, populous cities and unprecedented military power of the empire amazed the imagination of everyone who visited Akbar's court. But the time came, and the padishah faced the most difficult choice in his life: to whom to entrust his conquests, into whose hands to transfer the glory of the Mughals?
