This edition offers the reader the dramatic work of the 16th century “The Tragic History of Doctor Faustus” in Russian translations of two versions of its text. The author of the tragedy, Christopher Marlowe, is considered the most outstanding predecessor of William Shakespeare, the only contemporary who was directly quoted by the great playwright.
