The Hyksos had already ruled Egypt for two hundred years when one day their ruler, whose capital was in the north of the country, informed the pharaoh, who was in the south, that the roar of the sacred hippopotamuses in Thebes kept him awake at night, and demanded that these animals be exterminated. Such a demand shook Egypt, and troops rushed into battle in order to forever expel the barbarians from the sacred land. Through battle scenes in which war chariots and valiant warriors collide, through an emotional portrait of the young Pharaoh Ahmose, whose wise actions bring the heroic battle to its climax, the author vividly and vividly describes the unwavering loyalty of the Egyptian people to their land and unwillingness to tolerate the domination of foreigners. First published in Arabic language in 1944 under the title "Kifah Tiba".
